CHANNEL ESTIMATION ALGORITHM FOR MULTI INPUT MULTI OUTPUT SYSTEM [pp 01-05]
Agrawal Ashish, Gupta Neelesh
Abstract: Channel estimation plays an important role in the performance of wireless communication systems, since its knowledge is utilized to detect the data symbols. Channel estimation is an important technique especially in wireless network systems where the wireless channel vary over time, usually caused by transmitter and/or receiver being in motion. In order to provide reliability and high data rates at the receiver, the system needs an accurate estimate of the time-varying channel. Channel estimation is based on the training sequence of bits and which is unique for a certain transmitter and which is repeated in every transmitted burst. The modulated corrupted signal from the channel has to be undergoing the channel estimation using algorithms like Least Mean Squares, Normalized LMS, Variable Step Size LMS, Recursive Least Squares, Least Mean-Squares Newton Algorithm etc are used before the demodulation takes place at the receiver side. In this paper reviewing the different algorithms for demodulation and comparing ….

ENHANCEMENT OF POWER TRANSMISSION STABILITY BY IMPROVEMENT OF POWER FACTOR & …. [pp 06-09]
Chaurasiya Yogesh, Lade Hitesh
Abstract: In this paper research is carried on a long transmission line model compiled in the MATLAB for the enhancement of power with improved power factor and reduced harmonic distortion. UPFC (unified power flow controller) which is a FACT device is used in between the transmission line at the center of T model for compensation. UPFC is a mix venture of SSSC and STATCOM and is controlled using the implementation of fuzzy logic controller and the results shows that ….

FUZZY LOGIC RULE BASED SERIES COMPENSATOR MPROVING THE POWER FACTOR OF TRANSMISSION LINE BY REDUCTION IN THE TOTAL HARMONIC DISTORTION OF THE TRANSMISSION LINE [pp 10-14]

Singh Uditveer, Jarariya Sanjeev

Abstract: Harmonic distortions are closely related to the power transmission in the line as due to distortions power factor reduces. Hence a transmission line is modelled using static synchronous series compensator with the fuzzy logic approach in place of PI controller which reduces the harmonic distortions and result in good power quality response by enhanced power transmission capability

SENSITIVITY ENHANCEMENT AND VOLTAGE REGULATION IMPROVEMENT USING FUZZY LOGIC BASED STATCOM IN A POWER TRANSMISSION LINE [PP 15-21]

Waseem Ali Syed, Tiwari Anurag

Abstract: Power demand is increasing day by day and hence is resulting in a crowded network due to which many times fluctuations in voltage is seen as well as poor power quality, hence in this paper FACT device STATCOM is modeled with a new approach of  artificial intelligence of fuzzy logics implemented in a transmission line with sudden load changes and disturbances, it is found that the results from fuzzy logics approach are highly sensitive and there is reduction in voltage regulation ,the simulation is done using MATLAB in a single generator transmission line.

STUDY PAPER ON OPTIMIZATION OF ELECTRICAL POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEM USING PSO WITH SVC [pp 22-25]

Lalit, Jhala A.K.

Abstract In recent years, the transmission lines are operated under the heavily stressed condition, hence there is a risk of consequent voltage instability in the power network. There is a multi-functional control device which can be effectively control the load flow distribution and the power transfer capability is the flexible alternating current transmission system (FACTS) device. The facts device performance is depend upon its location and parameter setting. In this paper static var compensator (SVC) is studied on the basis of particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique to minimize load voltage magnitude deviations and network losses using particle swarm optimization have been presented. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is one of the artificial intelligent search approaches which have the potential….
